Just a few days ago, the partners of the Life City AdaP3 project, in which the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia (FMRM), the municipalities of Alcantarilla, Lorquí, Molina de Segura, Reggio Emilia, the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility of the University of Murcia and Eurovértice participate, met again to learn about the progress of the project at the halfway point. The partnership held a working meeting the previous day to move on to the visit of the pilot actions in the municipalities.
Therefore, they visited, together with the project monitor, the works carried out in the municipalities of Alcantarilla and Molina, to learn about the latest advances, such as the installation of the indicators that show the adaptation to climate change, with the measurement of temperature, humidity, etc.
In Alcantarilla, the group toured the first section of the multimodal pedestrian and cyclable platform, adapted to climate change, of the future basic network of sustainable mobility, which connects the nerve centre of the municipality (Plaza Adolfo Suarez) with the West Industrial Estate.
In Molina, the Nelson Mandela Park was visited, where it was possible to observe the evolution of the planting of more than 600 specimens of native plants that make up the vegetation of this public space.
In this project, irrigation systems have also been designed to prevent flooding of the park and soil erosion.
